I am a 68 recent widower who has worked in social services my entire life. I lived with my wife in Warrenton OR for the last 18 years. I have sold the family home and I am actively seeking a community that can use my skills. I am currently, in the Portland area but open to either urban or rural life. On the coast, we recently put in solar panels and tried to be as eco-friendly as possible. I have a need to be useful! My most recent job was as an outreach library worker driving a bookmobile.

Single Parent Co-Housing in Vancouver, WA

I'm a 44 year old trans nonbinary single parent of two children and two cats. We are each neurospicy in our own ways, which makes life more interesting and fun for sure! I share custody 50/50 with my ex-wife and the kids attend public school in the Vancouver School District. I work from home 4 days per week and from the office the other day for the State of Washington Division of Child Support. I'm committed to my recovery in two twelve step programs, neither of which are based on a history of substance abuse. However, I do prefer to live with others who are either substance free or only use substances rarely. What that looks like for me is that I have the occasional cider drink and never anything else other than prescription and over the counter medications as needed.

I'm passionate about community care and mutual aid and have been dreaming of intentional community through co-housing for a while now. Growing up I assumed my shared housing would be with a spouse, but having experienced marriage I have come to the realization that I do not in any way desire that experience again. What I do desire is supportive, intentional, loving, platonic, cooperative housing.

To live with others, growing food, teaching children, and creating and celebrating together

I'm a high school math teacher (looking into shifting to becoming an electrician). I currently live in Burien but will be moving to Tacoma this summer.

I dabble in creative arts and adore working with my hands. I'm eager to try learning new things and bring support wherever needed. I'm not great at cooking but I am trying to learn. I love being outside and getting dirty.

I have my kids with me 50% of the time, they are currently 5 and 3. Together, we are loving, playful, and team triangle. We love a good living room dance party and we're ready to bring whatever we can to an intentional community.
