Collectively, our hobbies include:
- backcountry hiking, backpacking, canoeing, camping
- sustainable and healthy whole-food living, nutrition, reading, cooking
- culture activation for positive social change and environmental stewardship
- yoga, meditation, game night, dancing, music and concerts
- hand-crafting, beading, woodworking, metal work and mechanics
To us, living in intentional community is getting to know people personally, having fun together, eating healthy home-cooked meals, and sharing the responsibility needed to enjoy a well-functioning household.
Living in an Intentional Community includes both private personal space and shared community space. Our practice is to keep shared community space tidy and functional for shared use, while simultaneously being graceful with each other as we live and work together in the shared spaces of this active community of 6 people.
To uphold this vision, being a part of this community includes shared dinners and active participation in regular meetings. We check in with each other, take opportunities for fun, discuss needs that emerge and make agreements about how we want to live together, including things like:
- Community related topics or hosting events raised by housemates
- Grocery/household supply needs
- Household chores and occasional/seasonal work parties
- Weekly dinner/cook plans
