My husband and I are retired university teachers in Fairbanks, Alaska. As we have now both reached our 80's, still in good health, we are recognizing the need to downsize from our multi-story home. We served in the Peace Corps in the Philippines, taught English for 5 years in Japan, and taught at Navajo Community College (now Dine College) before coming to the University of Alaska Fairbanks. We are active in our local Quaker Meeting as well as climate justice groups in Fairbanks, and we and seek a residential community that shares our values. My husband is a musician and plays regularly, both with a group of old time musicians and another group of Irish musicians. I sing with the Peace Choir, and we both sing weekly with Fairbanks Shapenote Singers. We also enjoy contradancing. Until recently my husband was a regular caller for contra and square dances.
