My partner and I are thinking about our long-term, aging-in-place options as we are moving into our 50s. We've been long-time Seattle residents and homeowners. We love living in a neighborhood that is growing and becoming ever-more connected to the rest of the city. Our older home has many stairs, is in need of continuous substantial maintenance - neither of these are what we want to be thinking about 10 years from now.

We do not have children, and are looking to become part of a community to avoid social isolation and maintain our mental health as we grow older. We're interested in opportunities in existing co-housing projects, or forming a new one. We're interested in being part of the challenging work that it would take to establish a new community in the Seattle area.
