RIGHT MORNING STAR is a six-member Greenwood household that thrives around shared values of social and environmental justice, and an overall desire to support one another through life.  We support our housemates who have allergies to fur and feathers by not having any pets or service animals in the house. 

We share all costs: $1078 per person, broken down as Rent: 691, Utilities: 90, Food: 295 (when 6 people are in residence). The “rent” and utilities are divided evenly among us, so the cost goes up when fewer people live here. 

The “food” cost is the same per person and reflects mostly organic food for shared dinners and food for all other meals. There is a required refundable deposit of $500. 

We share housework, take turns going food shopping and cooking dinner*, and we pitch in and help each other. We keep our common areas clean with a regular chore list that we each carry out on our own time. The house provides Internet access, a dishwasher, and a clothes washer and dryer. We have solar hot water and solar photovoltaic panels. We have ample on-street parking, secure indoor bicycle storage, and convenient bus access to the U-District, downtown, and points north. 

*In lieu of cooking, you can opt to pay $351 more a month to compensate the cooks for shared meals.
