Easterner, interested in exploring the west

I enjoy innovating, science, tinkering and philosophizing and can make distal connections with abstract and physical concepts but usually not the ones people were thinking of. I see that the forest and the trees as simply part of a larger ecosystem.  I like to take walks/runs, listen to podcasts, and think about anything and everything (and that nothing cannot exist in isolation, the absence of anything is the unknown, not nothing, the concept of nothing is, itself, something).

Some of my passions (and hopefully yours!) are:

-Health technology (specifically, practical, scientifically validated steps towards transhumanism and practical catalysts for stroke/TBI rehabilitation)

-Philosophy

-Generally, inventing things

-Acting

-Writing

-Helping those who are marginalized in society but don't neatly fit into a category

I am looking for people who have an entrepreneurial mindset and is also looking for collaboration.

What I'm Seeking
Starting or thinking about forming a community
Open to helping a community that's forming (joining as a member when it's established)
Find an opening at an established community
What I'm Seeking (tell us more...)
I am currently living on the east coast (Western Massachusetts) and recently finished some further grad schooling in mechanical engineering. I am now working on creating a product design company, but before I get serious with the business and establish roots here, I want to explore the west coast as a possible location to set these roots. I was wondering if there are any existing or planned techy/maker communities in this area? Is there anyone interested in starting such a thing if it does not exist already?
Where Are You Located?
