At Vashon Cohousing, we're beginning the hard work of changing our governing documents to comply with the new Washington Uniform Common Interest Ownership Act (WUCIOA), which has huge ramifications for HOAs created prior to 2018. The new statute is not at all applicable to our consensus-based community, and we're uncertain how to proceed. I'm curious to know if other communities are dealing with this, and if so, how. Some of these changes begin in 2026 -- others in 2028. Would love to discuss this with other cohousing groups! Thanks!
